Probably silly question, but i am using lots of different pages for output and there will be also many different search engines for the same database, is it possible to make calls from a static HTML page, rather than changing the code in the PL script. If you cant i am problably best looking at another database.

Do you mean searches? Yes, you can do searches from a static .html page. The only thing is that you will not be able to require users to log in before using the database.
