How can I let new users create logins?
Crazy I need to have people be able to create a username and make their own records. I'm trying to create a database of player characters for EverQuest, so I really need people to be able to do it themselves. Is this possible?

Yes, by default DBMan is setup to do this. You would set the permissions accordingly in your .cfg file.

JPDeni has an excellent DBMan tutorial which contains a section on setting permissions. http://jpdeni.com/dbman/

Yes I used that tutorial and the "Configurator" to create my cfg file... but I don't see any way to sign up when I look at it: http://www.eqguild.net/.../db/db.cgi?db=roster

(I've changed the admin password but haven't done anything to the html yet, I wanted to get it all working properly before I address that, so the default stuff is still on there)

Add the bit in bold to your dbman url for creating new accounts

http://www.eqguild.net/cgi-bin/db/db.cgi?db=roster&signup_form=1

That way you can have two links on your home page. One for logging in and one for new user sign up.

BTW I just created a user name/password called "test" that you may want to delete.
