Easy Excel Option?
Do I save this as it's own cgi file? What do I have to edit in the file? Do I need to place a blank excel file in the directory?

What do you want to do? Are you looking to import data into Excel or export it to Excel?

You want to put the .db file into Excel? :-)

Look in the Excel help file. I have an older version of Excel, so the process might be a little different. Basically, you tell it to open the file and tell it what the field delimiter is.

My help file had all the information I needed when I looked in the Index for "importing data."

I'm sorry. I am trying to use the "Easy Excel Option" Mod for dbman. I've made all of the changes but don't see it as an option in my menu.

I now see the option but when I select "export results" I get this message

DBMan encountered an internal error. Please enable debugging to view.

You're using a mod? I don't know that one.

Wouldn't it be just as easy to open up your .db file and import it directly into Excel? Or am I missing something?

Might work just as well. The default.db is just a delimeted file, isn't it. I was actually trying to get a file that QuickBooks can import and I think that is the excel file.

Thank you,
Bill

Yes. It's a plain text file with delimiters. I'm not sure what delimiters Excel accepts (often it seems to like commas), but you should be able to figure out something that works.

Turns out if I need to export directly to an excel file if I can get that mod to work.
