Compact DBman

Compact DBman
I am fairly new to Perl, so here is a simple question for your comments.

1. Is there any mileage in producing a 'compact' version of the DBman files by removing most/all of the comments (apart from the copyright, of course) to upload to the hosting server?

2. Will it execute more quickly?

3. If I half the size of the db.cgi file will it run twice as quickly? - or is it not as simple as that?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

I don't know if there would be any appreciable difference. Maybe a millisecond or two, but I doubt that you'd notice the difference.

The execution time of the scripts is just that -- the time it takes to execute the commands. The actual loading of the scripts and compiling is pretty fast.

Thanks for the comments. I had hoped as much as the idea of having a fully commented version and a compact version existing at the same time is a bit daunting!
