Hope someone can help, I havent been able to get help from anyone.

I have a CGI script that is used to let users choose what content they have on their front page.

It does this by throwing together different files to create a page. My problem is that it doesnt process my SSI calls ( includes an execs )

I was told I could have a while loop that finds <includes where it opens and reads the components and if found calls upon a subroutine.

Below is the part of the perl that opens the component:
btw configurable.cfg is the fiel that lists the components

unless (open (INVOER, "$path/configurable.cfg")) {
print "Unable to open $path/configurable.cfg";
}
@instelbaar = <INVOER>;
close INVOER;
foreach $regel (@instelbaar) {
if ($regel !~ /^\#/) {
if ($regel =~ /^cat/i) {
($catnummer, $catwaarde, $catomschrijving) = split (/ --> /, $regel);
if ($input{$naam} =~ /$catnummer/) {
$opensnip = "$path/$catwaarde";
open (INVOER1, $opensnip);
@snip = <INVOER1>;
close INVOER1;
foreach $regel1 (@snip) {
afdrukken();
}
}
}
}
}
}

You would really do much better in the Perl/CGI forum. The folks that hang out there know a lot more about Perl scripting than I do. Smile
