Search Results View Customization !!!
Hello and Greetings form Rai Uamir !

A few days ago I had installed a copy of DBMan on my xitami webserver on my Win98 Desktop !

The script is fully functioanl and works great !

The only problem I am having is with the Search Results view Customization :

Can anyboby please share his experience , a copy of html.pl
with such a customization as i would like for my online catalog:

How the Search Results Page Should be :

--------------------------------------------
------| Search Results Here |-------
| |
My | | My
Links | |Links
Here | | Here
| |
| |
|Small searh Option |

waiting for an urgent reply

I'm not sure what your "Links" are.

If I were to guess, I would think that you were interested in having two levels of display -- a short text link which connects to a longer display of the full record -- and two columns of the short text links.

Is that what you want? If so, there are mods already written for that.

The short/long display mod is at http://www.jpdeni.com/...ods/short_change.txt and the multiple column mod is at http://www.jpdeni.com/...ds/ColumnDisplay.txt.

If these aren't what you want, I'll need a little more explanation. Smile

Oh. I think I see what you mean.

The easiest way to set up page formatting that I have found is described in my tutorial at http://www.jpdeni.com/dbman/tutorial7.html. It's pretty much "cut and paste" without having to do a lot of coding. Give it a try and see if it works for you.
