I have a problem that Eliot mentions in the following thread of May 1999:

My keyword search is returning results from hidden fields! Although the hidden field itself is not dislpayed because it is not listed in sub html_record, the rest of the record info is.

For example, if a visitor does a keyword search for say 'kitchen', and an unrelated record contains the word kitchen as a hidden password, this record is still displayed.

Is there a work around for this?

I know the cfg file contains 'field-length' which can be set to hidden or admin - perhaps this can be utilised??
