Zeus 4.2 now supports mod_perl (sort of)
The latest version of Zeus (http://zeus.com/) now has support for Perl extensions. It says the interface is compatible with mod_perl and that many modules will work 'out-of-the-box'.

Apparently, there are a few differences:
  • Apache C API not available
  • PerlSendHeader is always ON
  • Configurable htaccess extensions not available
  • subprocess_env() not complete
  • <perl> sections not available (these can all be specified in the startup.pl though)

So is there any chance of GT finding time to test the Gossamer products with it? :)

The manual detailing the new API is at http://support.zeus.com/...ws/v4/user_guide.pdf

You don't have a copy setup we can test with do you? =) One that is setup and emulating Apache::Registry would be perfect.

Cheers,

Alex

It just so happens I do. I'm in the middle of moving things to a new server so I have a default installation of Zeus running GMail and Links SQL. It hasn't gone live yet so it doesn't matter if you break it. Wink

I'll email you access details later today.
