Telnet vs SSH
Can someone tell me the difference between Telnet and SSH and the pros/cons of each ?

SSH is a pain in the butt for the end user, but probably offers ISP's extra security in shared access configurations.

I would not recommend using telnet. The main difference is that with telnet, everything you type is sent over the internet in clear text. Anyone can view, monitor what you are typing.

Using SSH, it's encrypted.

Cheers,

Alex

Thats lucky then...

I have an SSH account but not Telnet :0)

I have tried both and they seem very similar to me.
