Hi Regan,

Currently we're only working on paypal and authorize.net but will be expanding it to the other payment processors as we go along. However, no promises, and no timelines at this point.

Jack.

Regan,

Do you currently have an account with WorldPay that we can test with?

Yip, sure do. Should I email someone the details?

Actually I've got all the manuals and information here too if you also want those - they pretty much spell everything out.

I am very close to purchasing another product for a shopping cart, but I would be most interested to see what you've come up with before I make my decision... my client wants me to get started asap on their project. Can you tell us any more about the cart? pretty please? Smile

Okay,

Will a demo on Tuesday of next week work for you? We were going to release the demo earlier, but we ran into major problems with a hard drive, and have to delay things. Might be Wednesday if we don't get enough done this weekend, but we'll get a demo up next week.

Jack,

Tuesday will be good. But can't you tell us anything about it now? Is it a plugin for other GT products? Will it work with LSQL? What's the price range? What payment processors will it work with? Will it have inventory control and affiliates?

???

Thanks for moving ahead on the cart. I'm really excited!

Hi,

Any further information on when a demo will be available?

We are currently using osCommerce, which we love, but it lacks some of the fundamental functionality we require. We are considering switching to X-cart, which has the advanced coupon, gift certificate, and cross/up-sell functionality we need, but lacks some of the other advanced functions we like in osCommerce. If we could only combine the two, we'd have the perfect e-commerce script!

Anyway, I love Links SQL and have used it on other projects, so I'd be interested in seeing the GT e-commerce offering.

TIA,
ATKOgirl

Hi,

Thanks for your post.

We are very apologetic for the constant delays in the release of our new products.

I wish I could tell you more, but basically, the only thing that I can say right now is, this is top priority for a certain section of our office.

wow. that is hot. I really like it. You know that showing us this will only bring an onslought of questions and requests, right?

a couple things I noticed:

1) I signed up, ordered something. Finished the order and then went to write a review, and the system didn't cookie me. I had to log in again.

2) The order form has some repeating elements.

3) very exciting to see this! My client is gonna totally love this. The registration, the email newsletter tie in, the reviews. my god.

Cool Ok Jack, you got my attention.

A. Are we talking the next 90 days or less for release?
B. What Pay systems will it interface with?
C. Will it afford an outside vendor the ability to manage their own products listed in the system (like an editor)?
D. and the magic question, How many ZERO's? Wink
E. Will it allow discounting based on category, brand name, and/or model?
F. Will it track shipping, give shipping options and calcualte it based on selection?

I do have more but there is only so much bandwidth available!

Looks good guys and gals!

Hi Brian,

Sorry for the delay in replying.

A. Yes, we're talking within the next 60 days or so actually.
B. Initially, it will only interface with Paypal, but it will also send payment information to the admin for manual processing of credit card purchases.
C. Yes, just like normal Links SQL, you can have different editors for each category.
D. Not much, but the price has not been determined yet.
E. There are an infinite number of tax options you can setup, so a negative tax option could work as a discount, but this point requires more thought on our part.
F. It will track for "Back Orders" and such but we will need to build things like a plugin to FedEx or UPS to calculate shipping rates based on the dimensions and weights of the box. The problem comes with you have multiple boxes, it becomes much cheaper to package it all into one big box, but we don't really have the capability to handle that right now.

Jack.

Multiple shipping options would be swell.
0-1 lb = x
1-2 lb = y
2-3 lb = z
kind of table. Would be super neat if you could aslo have multiple tables, for different countries/regions.

That would rock. of course, you'd have to be able to put in a shipping weight into the products, allowing for 0 weight = no shipping charges. Smile very excited about this whole thing.

Down the road, if this had the capabilities of a mall feature that would be great. Where I can run the software on my site and rent/lease out store space to vendors. Like yahoo stores or ebay stores.

Hi Jack,

Will there be discount-computation?

It would be good if I can mark an articel to a special quantity-discount.

For example:

If I sell DVD's

Qty 1 DVD = 3%
Qty 2 DVD = 4%
Qty 3 DVD = 5%
.... and so on

But the discount should only be computet for articels which are marked that they belong to this discount-group.
