Are you intending to use LinksSQL for this? Do you want something that will take an Amazon.com xml file and insert the products into your database? If so, I have an xml plugin which I could probably get to a releasable state pretty quickly. Probably about $50.

Do Amazon allow you to download a complete list of their products? I only ever managed to get the results for a specific search query, which wasn't very practicle :(

No, that is a problem. I use a script which downloads several pages of products from a few categories.

Cool. I suppose another option would be to have a list of words, say like;

Quote:
food
cars
games
books
dvd
star trek
magazines
internet

...etc, and then do a query for each of these keywords (and import into the database).

Yes. My plugin will take an xml file and insert it into which ever Table you want. Working out how to get the xml files you want is a separate problem!

Sorry - there didn't seem to be any interest so I didn't release it.

What i would like to be able to do is import rss syndicated articles into categories. would you be able to use a plugin like yours to do that?

I'm not sure as I've never investigated rss feeds. Do you just want to show something on a category page that is updated everytime the page is loaded - or do you want to actually put them into the Links table? If the former then I think you could do it with a global.

I think i'm wanting to load it into the links table. I'm looking into ways to keep the content dynamic and also get it picked up by the search engines I'll have to change the content up a bit i beleive. any suggestions?

Hi,

I don't know if something on this site http://www.wholesaleroom.com/Apparel/index.html is suitable? The content will be refreshed after 30 minutes.

Happy new year!
