perl generated html-pages and stylesheets

perl generated html-pages and stylesheets

I am using an external (css2) stylesheet for formatting dbman-generated pages, calling it via LINK in the header. I have noticed (with IE5) that sometimes, the stylesheet is ignored. However, when I hit the reload-button, it is, and the page is displayed as it should be. The information loss does not appear to be selective: positioning, colouring - all sorts of information that the stylesheet contains is ignored.

Which raises the question: is it possible that for some reason, a perl script is processed "too fast" by the server so as to allow reading in a stylesheet, and if so, how can this be changed?
