How to Single Out a Line of Data
Hello everyone,

I have a database file that lists everything like:

name1|description|info
name2|description|info
name3|description|info
name4|description|info

and I want to know how I can single out like name2 so I can perform commands on it. I know how to do it when then info is each on a line but just have line[0] or line[1] or whatever, but not when the info is on one line. I want to be able to call name 2 and then grab the text for name2, description, and info to use.

Also, on the main page of the script that reads this database, it displays each line of data so I can view it. How could I make it so it is divided into pages, like the Links 2.0 can do, so that is it easier to search through?

I know this is sorta broad (sorry) but I can explain more if needed.

God bless!

Hi,

I had questions similar to those. Have a look at these 2 posts:
