On-Line Traffic
Hello friends
I have registered my website on all top search engines. The web pages are content rich but still don’t have expected traffic. How can I increase traffic?

Where did you submit your site? Google? Yahoo?

Google is the best... but be sure to read up on Google's methods (we have a forum here: http://www.ultranerds.com/...nd_Googlization_F58/).

Google don't tend to list sites very high, until they are at least 3 months old.

Other than that... just promote, wait... and promote some more :)

It also helps to have you site linked from other sites. This can be very time consuming, but it will help you rankings in search engines and hopefully bring traffic to your site.

This can be very time consuming, to locate sites to exchange links with but pays off in the overall scheme of things.

Oh... another tip... get the Google toolbar!

http://toolbar.google.com/

From there, you can track your sites "PR" (Page Rank) on Google. The higher this is, the better chance your site has of getting spidered (the higher the PR, the further into your site it will spider).

Hope that helps.

These days, unless you are willing to pay for link submissions... nothing gets done fast :( (you will be lucky to get listed in Google with a decent ranking, in a month). One of the problems of the internet.. promotion!

As the others have said - it is often down to time! Wink

Plus get some (relevant) links from other sites - these will help ensure search engines find you and as someone else noted help increase your Google PR (page rank).

Could not resist it... "or both" Tongue

Seriously though you can get traffic quickly but you will usually have to pay for a lot of Google AdWords and other pay-per-click type advertising!
