Just wondering...
This is something that has always puzzled me. What upload type should you transfer .gz files in ? ASCII or Binary? I notice if you send it in Binary it comes quite a bit smaller, should I be transfering them as ASCII? I have always taken this for granted, cos my FTP client has an 'auto' mode, so I don't actually need to decide what mode to transfer in.

TIA.

Wow.. that was a quick reply.. thanks :)

So looks like I need to define it as Binay with Net::FTP then... hopefully this should do the trick;

$_ftp->binary;

Cheers
