April fools maybe?
I find it hard to believe that someone could patent this type of thing... that would make Google/Yahoo/DMOZ and pretty much every site on the internet vunrable to this... which I very much doubt :p

This problem occured when the U.S. decided to allow people to patent "ideas" and "thoughts" instead actual tangible items.
Hmm... I think I'll patent a method of wiping one's rear-end with a soft paper-like tissue. I'll make millions off of the royalties!
