I wanna frankenstein my wintel box again. I'm getting a freebie that has some decent parts.

Main thing is that I want to move the harddrive from the other box to my box.

The hard drive I want to move has win98 on it and I'm running w2k ... will I have problems?

Yes, I know I can just erase that drive or something. But it's a machine from a friend at work and I've got lot's of personal files on it too.

any clues?

You're going to attach the friend's drive to yours as the slave right? Shouldn't have any problems.

hm... I have Linux on the primary master and Windows on the secondary master. In order to get Linux to boot I have to make sure the secondary HD isn't enabled as a boot device in the bios. Don't know what's up with tthat.
