The end of the Internet
The entire internet is having very very serious routing problems it seems.

http://www.internettrafficreport.com/

Europe
Avg. Response Time: 96
Avg. Packet Loss: 49 %
Total Routers: 41

North America
Avg. Response Time: 37
Avg. Packet Loss: 59 %
Total Routers: 129

What on earth is going on?!

That kinda relates to my no water thread, the internet, although a network of computers still relies on major companies to keep it running. If AT&T go booboo or one of their routers kaputs then a huge hiccup is felt across the internet. Normally their backup system re-routes traffic but you can still feel a slow down.

Now this is amazing! Absolutely amazing scenes to watch! Within a matter of minutes, 50% of North America and Europe's network has come to a halt.

ATT's North America routers are coming back online. AMS-IX is still down. LINX is fine, it seems. All traffic from the UK has been re-routed through NL temporarily, however.

This is amazing to watch. :-)

Isn't it absolutely rivetting stuff!

Although all the sites I've been visiting in the US, Canada and Europe seem fine :)

Yes, as your requests get re-routed through other networks. As I'm writing this, down goes most of South America, too :-)

South America
Avg. Response Time: 166
Avg. Packet Loss: 38 %
Total Routers: 13

Yesterday the whole thing was zero's all across the board. I just figured the site was down or no longer being maintained.

ugh, no wonder it took like 5 hours to get a 5.6 meg file down from the states. Normally, I could get the same size file form the same place in like 3+ minutes or so.

@ the end of the internet

hmmm, I thought the thread was something different but ... here's my question.

Where is the end of the internet?
