Something to look forward to...
I don't have much to look forward to in my life *violins play* ... or at least that's what I thought until I found out that soon to be delivered is my mum's new Mini Cooper...

http://www.mini.co.uk/...del.jsp?model=cooper

...and in March my dad is taking delivery of an Audi TT...

http://www.audi.co.uk/...p?section=/models/tt

I'm so excited. The audi will be our first leather seated car.

I think these tablets I'm taking are starting to kick in, I'm feeling positive at last Smile

I heard in Silcon Valley mini's are becoming popular.

They've been popular here in Sapporo for a bit. Lol ... If I had jumped on the band wagon 5 years ago and imported some into the states .... Unsure

I wanna take one down a stairway Wink

openoffice + gimp + sketch ... Smile

I'm not too keen on them myself, I prefer the new VW beetle but I'm on the insurance so I won't say no to taking it for a spin Smile

I've seen a few of the mini's around here (Silicon Valley) but I don't think they're popular just yet. We still prefer large SUV's and BMW's. Although I have seen quite a few used BMW's for sale recently :)

Yep, I finally broke down and bought a new truck this summer. Didn't really need one, but what the heck! It has leather seats and a moonroof and gets pretty good gas economy (for a V-8).

Your mom's car looks like it'd be fun to drive.

Sexy looking truck. It looks like something out of A-Team :)

You don't see many trucks like that in the UK.

That's to be expected from you though :)

Boy racer.

Moi, a boy racer? Nah! Crazy

It was the white van driver who was at fault (not that I'm claiming). He pulled out on me on a roundabout, so I obviously had right of way, therefore it wasn't my fault at all ;)

Anyway...back to the horrible new looking minis ...heheh

For the mini?.....nooo I wouldn't be able to get insured on it (nor my sister probably) so we had to get the less powerful one :(

I've still got my heart set on a Honda S2000 - although the new BMW Z4 doesn't look to bad either. The TT is far too ugly Tongue

Not when it's parked on your driveway :)

I didn't say I _have_ one, just that I want one Unsure. The S2000 is not exactly a typical Honda rice-rocket though.

If one was parked on my driveway I'd sell it and buy a better-looking car Tongue

Woooo meow Cool ...I thought you lived in a flat anyway :)

I did tell my dad he could have got a porsche boxster for the same price :) ...one of my friends reckons they are just a poor mans porsche though, but my dad reckons they are one of the best made cars available.

My dad just has an obsession for audi's though.

I had right of way...its a weird roundabout, where the main road goes literally straight over it. Its almost like the roundabout was randomly dropped on the side of the road. The reason I think they put it there was cos there is a main road that has to slip onto the other main road. Its a bit confusing...but either way, i had right of way, and I didn't need to indicate Wink

Porsche Boxters don't start for less than £35k. You can pick up a TT for £24k.

Cheers

Yeah, well, I agree with your old man here. I'd go for the TT -- I really like them. I couldn't afford the insurance, though -- that is if someone would ever insure me.

Other than that, it's got to be an Austin Martin DB7 for me. :-)

Vantage is better :)

In an ideal world I'd have a McLaren road car, or if I couldn't afford the £600,000 price tag I'd go for a Bentley Sedanca
