I have some interest in WorldOnline / Tiscali.

Did you ever hear of Tiscali/Novum ?

Does anyone know anything about this company? Reputation, extent, etc? I'm trying to figure out who they are, what they are........

Tiscali are *ok* as long as you stay within a reasonable distance from the local telephone exchange. I'm about 5 miles from ours, so I didn't tend to get a very fast connection (even AOL struggles on dialup). The main reason I moved to AOL though, was because a lot of the time it was taking me 10-15 attempts to get online (not even peak times really).

Does Tiscali get into other things? Like, are they into other business markets besides connectivity? Do they buy businesses in other markets?

I think so. About a year ago they brought up StrayDuck (an ISP), and I'm pretty sure they aquired a couple of other companies not so long ago.

Have you looked at their corporate details?
