Pegasus Mail client - looks good so far...
Hi All

I'm trying out Pegasus Mail (4.02), and so far it's pretty terrific. You can view headers, do quite a bit of filtering, multi-user, and tons more, including its own version of encryption.

I used that client awhile ago, found to be like Eudora, which I didn't like that much, in terms of its UI and features.

It's a little dense at first, but things are clearing up. I've been using Eudora 5 ever since it came out, and I come away liking Pegasus more. Pegasus does not have any conversion system that I can find. So, you have to start from scratch. We'll see how it goes. It's definitely worth playing with, though. Smile Smile

Hi

While migrating my mailbox from a POP3 box to an IMAP box recently, I took the opportunity to look for a good Win32 mail client. The one I opted for in the end was Becky! Mail. It's a little know mail client, but it absolutely rocks. You can download a free 30 day trial at:

I like mail.app it's built in and comes in a good 2nd compared to outlook.
But, I can filter, make boxes, view headers and most functions.
The benefit is that it's part of my system install and exports to text and what not.

hmmmm .... I liked Eudora at one time though.

I agree PINE is great!

1) No annoying pop-up ads.

2) You can avoid letting advertisers track your activity (since tracking pixils won't load in the client and if you don't have a UNIX based browser, like Lynx, installed, then you can't click on tracking links).

3) No viruses

These are just a few advantages of using PINE.

Ah. Come on folks, if you're going to read mail in a terminal window then you should be using 'mutt' :-)

hmmm, pine eh?

@pop ads?
What do you mean by this?
Is this like in a regular browser or do you mean the html that comes through at times?

@tracking pixels?
I have clue here either. I get links but I normally don't click through unless it's a friend.

A further explanation would be appreciated. I just can't imagine what my mail.app and a pine do is so different. My mail.app is probably just a gui version of pine with some pluses since my system especially with the new system update coming out soon I'll finally be in sync with BSD 4.4.

cheers
