IE Toolbar
Well I was just a bit bored so decided to write a simple little app in C++ that lets you add a skin to your IE toolbar. I thought I'd let you all try it out :)

If anyone is interested I'll post the code.

Have you ever made a IE search toolbar like Google's? I've been thinking about doing that to search my Links SQL database. Smile

Its backwards and makes no sense :)

But I can see that you are missing a DLL.

Hello Paul,

Added the alledged missing file and now the error is for MSVCRTD.dll.

You may need to package all the windows dependant files for Win XP.

Or not.

Thanks

cornball.

I can see the previous error message clearly (-:

Sigh, the joys of compiling an app on the pc which has all the DLLs means you forget that others don't :)

Try this URL:

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/vdmsound/vcredist.exe

I think it contains all the MFC runtime DLL's

Hello Paul,

I tried the download and it failed to install any missing dll's with no error messages.

I was distracted any way.

I open my mail box to find a letter from the local Canadian Tax man.

Seems a company [ now bankrupt ] I worked for filed a T4 [ yearly Tax declaration form ] in July, and did not send me a copy for April [ or at all ]. So I filed an Estimate of Earnings to be on time.

The T4 has $18 total [ extremely low ] for tax deducted for 3 months.

But after calling the Tax man , I am told I have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt the

T4 form is incorrect. As generally employers do not profit from creating incorrect T4's.

So I am told to pay the tax demand notice [ $669.76 due in 20 days ] and file a complaint to try and sort out this goober.

My dream :

I would like to hire my ex-boss, lay him off, not pay him his last pay check, fill in all government forms

and submit them with I have paid him. Then He might realise what a hell hole a person finds

himself in when the Paper work of a Government Form is believed over his word and his bank records.

===

Lesson Learned : Keep all paper work in a big black box, as you never know if you will need it.

This lesson is for individuals, business has a keep for .... years any way.

I have all the paper work and the civil proceedings paperwork and yet I now have to convince the Tax

man I am not a tax avoiding scum bag.

See Ya

Hello Paul,

Sorry about the last Tax man dribble.

I used to use MS C and MS C++ [ Visual Studio 6 with Basic ] , but I found the required "add Libs" for the end user

a pain in the royal buttocks.

I now generally use Borland's Delphi 3 [ 4 not ] , 5 occasionally, 6 bloated software.

My words : All versions of Delphi have known bugs / memory leaks --> so add the patches.

Delphi compiles a stand alone executable without royalties [ you may owe if you use other peoples ]

Delphi is WYSIWYG design , or just code ....

Have you tried Delphi recently ? Delphi Does Dallas !

ps Delphi is a Pascal port, you can compile delphi's version of Pascal command line also.

See Attached : 649.exe as 649.html [ Right click on the attachment and SAVE AS 649.exe ] a futile failure at lotto 6/49 but a delphi programming experience.

I have the source for 649.exe if you wish to see / use it .

649.exe was compiled on Win 98 but should run on 95,98,NT4,NT2000,XP , it does not change the windows

registry or add any dll's. I designed it to be stand alone, that is why I use Notepad.exe for saving and printing.

It does run on Win XP !
