Can you answer?
Hi guys,
Following is an exercise for your grey cells.

1.What goes round the world but still stays in a corner?

It's very simple to guess.

The moon? It actually orbits the Earth but seems to stay at one corner in the evening and at night.

yup,it's a stamp Smile

Try out this one:
Two cops walked into a room with no windows and found a dead man who obviously hung himself from the ceiling, though they couldn't figure out how. There was no chair beneath him that he might have jumped off of, or a table. Just a puddle of water. How'd he do it?

Priyanka

My guess is that he jumped off of a block of ice which had melted, leaving the puddle of water.

That was a correct guess

Here comes one more:
"I can be seen when it's cold but not when it's hot. You need me to live-take my last and you are not."
What am I?

Yep, out of my mind - and, most people do say I'm out of my mind =) The first two were easy, and the third one appealed to my mariner inner self. However, the last one has boggled me - could it be because I detest nuts? Hmmm =)

Here's an ancient one for you - Riddle of the Sphinx

What is the creature that walks on four legs in the morning, two legs at noon, and three in the evening?

It's complex, but not Oedipus Complex =)

(it's one I remember back from university - get it wrong, and you are devoured by the Sphinx)

a human

4 legs = baby
2 legs = childhood through adulthood
3 legs = senior walking with a cane

Wingnut was also one of my first guesses, but it seemed too easy. I later Googled the answer. On the basis of the answer, wingnut or any word ending in nut, is valid. This riddle was rather silly. The Sphynx would be smirking =) Answer? Ask Tim Hortons =)
