Best Auction Software??
Anybody suggest a reliable, reasonably feature-rich Auction application?? What would be considered "best in class" in this category?

Couple suggestion would be a help - thanks

Don't have time for a programming excersize

I was looking for a classifieds script and stumbled across geoAuctions. The free "lite" version is available for download and the full version expected "soon".

They've answered my emails quickly, but don't seem to have a public forum.

Still seems to be in development??

Wasn't ebay co-branding / licensing their auctions, sort of like the Amazon Associates program??

The classifieds script is done and looks nice. The auction software will (probably) be based on the classifieds, so it should not be too far off.

If you have found something else interesting, share it with us!

I am in limbo on this stuff until GT Community comes out so I can know if it will work with non-GT software, or if that feature will be in a later version.

Er, no it doesn't. I wouldn't stick that code on *my* server. He tried hard, and ive seen a lot worse, but I say lots of indications that he's not very schooled in programming. Perhaps over time it will get better, but right now its a mess (and this is being commented after I looked at one file...didn't bother looking at the rest)

I've used this PhotoAds software - http://www.hoffice.com - on this site - http://www.dockwalk.com for about 3 years and haven't had a hiccup yet. I think it's dated and certainly doesn't integrate with other site features, but as a stand alone app it has been trouble free (knock on wood).

Good to know of an alternative though, as I think it's time to scale up on this site.
