1 Windows box as Print Server for 2 win boxes - How?
Hi All

I have two win boxes.

Each box would feed print jobs to the same printer.

However, I also need one of the win boxes to be the "print server" for both win boxes - a way to manage to print queue.

Can anyone explain in an A-B-C kind of way how to make one win box the print server for both machines?

BTW, is "print sharing" the same as "print server"?

Many thanks Smile

I usually think of a "print server" as a piece of hardware that contects to a network switch or router (as opposed to a software "sharing" solution). Print servers have a USB jack for connecting to the printer and an ethernet jack for connecting to a switch or router. IIRC, they aren't recommened for use with multi-function printers since they use generic drivers.
