I would like to here from those who have used both Links2 and Dbman; a comparision of options (and lack of) between these 2 well done packages.

Specifically, what can you do with one that you cannot do with the other. Or put another way, what features are in one or the other. It would be nice to have a side by side compare chart to help us decide which to use based on features.

Has anyone used DBman as a search engine (like links2)? I have seen a few threads in Links2 asking for instant db access. Perhaps DBMan would be their answer?

One very important feature I like about Links2 that is lacking in any other "Engine package" is the fact that it can generate HTML pages from its database. This is a BIG PLUS for for a web site to give it increased exposure to other search engines and directories.

Yet, my current research on DBMan shows it allows for instant submit/add/view/modify, etc. of the database which is important on the "user" side of the fence.

It would be nice to have best of both worlds some day.
