Just a thought....
Would it be hard to add a feature so that you could add usernames to a "buddy list" type thing and show their names on the main page if they are online?

Nice suggestion....

If this feature is implemented, it would be good to maintain user preferences...if they don't want to be listed, then they shouldn't be listed in the "buddy list".

I second that, nice suggestion Paul and I agree with you Eliot. Sort of like Aol's block list for certain people on their instant messanger.
