I am using the Snap templates. Will the Yahoo mod that shows the subcategories on the home page also work on my script?

You need to use either Subcategories like Yahoo v.2.0 or Subcategories like Yahoo v.2.1 (linked in the Resource Center) to put subcategories like Yahoo underneath your categories.
