sub build fancy select field & auto forms

sub build fancy select field & auto forms
Hi JPD

Thought I would start this as a new thread so as not to confuse what I have already done with the sub build_fancy_select_field.

I also do realise that you did touch on this subject before but anyhow, I was looking through the .cgi file and of course it can auto generate forms for select fields. My question is whether this function can be modified to handle "fancy select fields".

If this is possible it would be a nice standard feature for DBman so one can have the option of storing same or alternative values (to the displayed option) as well as the convenience of auto forms.

Your thought please.

My answer is, not in any way I can think of. I wrote it for those who are building their own forms. (Actually, I wrote it for myself and I always use my own forms, except when I'm first testing a database.)

The fancy_select_field mod works wonderfully! With Carol's help, I modified this mod to allow multiple selections of values rather than only selecting one field via a single field drop-down menu.

I don't see the relevance of your post with respect to my question - if there is a relevance can you please explain.

All I was stating was that if you want to use the fancy_select_build mod in your DBMAN, it works very nicely.

Geez....
