extra t=<%t%> just after sending mail

extra t=<%t%> just after sending mail
Hi,

This happens both in brewt and nessa template sets (not sure about wap). Just after sending mail, each link on the interface gets that additional t=<%t%> in the url. Once clicked the subsequent navigation after that does not have that extra t=<%t%>.

say in nessa just after sending mail the links have

...;t=nessa;t=nessa;....

similarly in brewt

...;t=brewt;brewt;...

This is oserved only after just sending a mail. Though this does not give any navigation error but it needs attention as it seems to be there right from 2.1.0 (the version of my live install). Also what needs to be corrected in templates may please be posted.

Also many places both t=<%template%> and t=<%t%> is found. Why have two tags for the same thing?

Thnx

I don't see how that could happen.
1) A sent email is POST'ed, so all that's in the URL is .../webmail.cgi
2) I looked through the templates, and there's no occurrences of submitting a t="..." twice.

I guess it was originally <%template%> and we got sick of typing out the whole thing, so we added <%t%>. <%template%> would have been left in for compatibility purposes. You can use them interchangeably.

Hi Adrian,

Yes logically it should not be happening. But Just after

Your email has been sent!

The links (folders/home/inbox etc etc) all carry that 'extra' occurrence of t=nessa or t=brewt or anyother templatename being used. I thought I may have somehow messed up somewhere so i decided to check on freemail.gossamer-threads and checked with nessa and yes indeed there also it is indeed happening. For example after sending a test mail if i click on

Home : http://freemail.gossamer-threads.com/...sid=;t=nessa;t=nessa

Inbox: http://freemail.gossamer-threads.com/...1;page=msgs_list.htm

And like wise for all the navigable links.

And this double occurrence vanishes on subsequent stage. Although it is not causing any navigation error but it should not be there. My username of freemail anup123. I just tested it before posting this message.

Thnx

That's odd. I just checked it on my install and it does the same thing. After sending a message, all the links on the page have two instances of 't=whatever'. I also looked through the templates and I don't see where it's coming from either.

As soon as you click on one of the links, it does go away. I don't see it as being a problem, just a quirk.

It doesn't occur on your 2.2.0 RC1 install does it?

It happens in 2.2.0RC1 also with both template sets (nessa/brewt). The only link where it does not happen is on the msgs_toolbar (though i have not checked upon this in live install (2.1.0).

What exactly are you doing?

Compose => send an email => All links have t=foo;...;t=foo?

Cookie session or cookieless session?

Tried both Cookie and Cookie Less Login. The summary as follows:

(1) Compose --> Send ---> All Links have t=foo;t=foo

(2) Fwd Message -------->All links have t=foo;t=foo

(3) Send Reply ----------> All links have t=foo;t=foo

(4) Save Draft ------------> All links are *OK*

Save draft is a *new feature added* and it does not have that *extra* occurrence.

I can't duplicate it on my copy here. Since it's only a cosmetic thing, I'm not going to spend any more time trying to replicate it.

Hi Adrian,

freemail.gossamer-threads.com (though not 2.2.0RC1) has that "trivial" duplicate occurrence of t=foo;t=foo in links after sending mail. Possibly when the same is upgraded to 2.2.0 I would again login and see.

Thnx
