virtual / soft wrap

virtual / soft wrap
while I was probably hopelessly adding back to the community over in ... links install area ... I noticed that my post ended up spreading out to the right a bit.

Which made me think of my handy-dandy text editor that let's you soft wrap the lines (or would you say virtual wrap ??) well either way ... I thought it would be nice for formatting purposes to have this ability.

any one else?

Perhaps the way the CODE tag is implemented should be changed or maybe a new tag. I'd prefer codes to be placed in a textarea field. That way it's easier to copy & paste to an editor (especially since MSIE doesn't know how to handle copying right).

Like this?

Code:

sdfasdfasdfasdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf f
That's simply how a <pre> works - it doesn't wrap. Although it has a downside of causing a post to scroll to the right, it does work correctly for people pasting code - having it wrap any long lines of code would be a real pain.
