User Limits

Limits are meant to prevent people from attacking your system with large numbers of messages.

User Limits
This is the maximum number of emails a user can send per day. Each email can have a number of recipients up to the Max Addressees, defined below. A value of '0' means a user may send an unlimited number of emails a day.
Max Emails per Day
This is the maximum number of addressees an email being sent from Gossamer Mail can have. A value of '0' means a user may send emails with an unlimited number of addressees.

This is the maximum number of spam entries a user can have.
Max Spam
This is the maximum number of folders a user can have.
Max Folders
This is the maximum size an email message can be. If the email is bigger than this it is bounced.

This is the maximum number of messages a user can have. Any messages that arrive for a user with this many messages are bounced.
Max Emails
This is the maximum total size all attachments can be. A value of 0 can be used for no limit.

This is the maximum size attachment a user can upload to the server when sending emails. A value of 0 can be used for no limit.

This is the maximum number of files a user may attach to an e-mail. If set to -1, unlimited attachments may be uploaded.

This is the maximum number of signatures a user can have.
Max Signatures
This is the maximum number of filters a user can have. Filters are one of the way a user has to decide what to do with an email when it is delivered to them.

This is the maximum numbers of Addresses a user can have in their address book.
Max Addresses
A text portion of messages is inserted into the search table to make them searchable. This is the maximum size that text portion can be. Remember MySQL has a query limit of 1M, so if you are using MySQL or a database with a maximum query size this should be well under that max.

If you let users check Remote POP's, you can set this if you want the user to be able to specify not to delete messages off there remote POP account.
Allow POP No Delete
Should users be allowed to set up their email to be forwarded to another account. This can be a dangerous option and should be set only if your users are trusted.
Allow Forwards
Should users be allowed to set up auto-replies to their emails. This option only makes sense in shared mode when incoming.pl and outgoing.pl are ran on a schedule.
