Gossamer Links Multi Language Plugin

The multi-language plugin gives Gossamer Links admins the ability to manage a database in multiple languages with just one installation rather than requiring multiple installations of Gossamer Links.

With the multi-language plugin in place, you will be able to run multiple template sets, calling different fields for each language template. On the demo, the German Title field called by the German set of templates is:

<%Multilang_German_Title%>

whereas the English ones retain the normal default: <%Title%>

The main advantage of using this plugin is that it allows a webmaster to manage only one database and one copy of Gossamer Links rather than multiple installations. When an update is released, it only has to be applied once, and adding support for a third or fourth language is easily accomplished.

Paths and URLs to pages can be set separately for each language, as well as date and time display formats which allows for conformity with local standards.

The plugin also allows the user to jump from one language to another without losing their location in the category structure. Should you not require this feature, the pages for each language can be built to a completely different path/URL, keeping the sections separate but still managed by the same program.
