If you already have some programming experience in another language, this is a great way to learn perl. This is also a great book if you have some experience in perl, but are looking to get a better understanding of how things work.

If you are looking to get into mod_perl development, this book is a must have reference. You should have a strong knowledge of CGI and perl first though.
