Adding new forms/ modifying the User Management

Hi All,
I need to develop an Employee directory module for use in Plone, Zope.
So, could i modify the user's registration module to accomodate the new
fields needed for the same.
Could someone please give me the appropriate links to refer for or else
throgh some light on the steps of how could I proceed.
