Zope too many connections

Hi,
I have a problem with Zope...
I have some installations of Zope, in particular zope 2.7.3 and zope
2.9.6, and these installations contain some sites build with Plone.
The problem is that when i have more than approximately 20-30
connections established for each instance of Zope, the sites become
unreachable...The browser doesn't load the pages and no error in log
files is provided...
Zope is installed with this commands :
configure --prefix=/var/lib/zope --with-python=/usr/local/bin/python2.x
make
make install
Then i create a Zope instance launching:
/var/lib/zope/bin/mkzopeinstance.py
Maybe I have done some error during installation, or i have forgot to
edit some configuration...
Any help is really appreciated.
