desktop virtualization

hi,

is it possible to do desktop virtualization with latest xen hypervisor
using 100% open source softwares (no licensing cost)?

At work we are using xen + nomachine nx for providing virtual linux-
desktops.

nomachine is not free (but there in an opensource vartiant available),
but it is free for two users per VM.

Do you mean server-based desktop virtualization (aka VDI), or local
desktop virtualization?
