hotplug vcpu when running task

Hello,all
I was wondering whether Xen can hotplug vpuc when tasks are running in VM. When I try to hotplug VM's vcpu when tasks are running at the same time, I found the task stopped and finally failed after vcpu hotplug. Why is that?
I setup xcp 1.6 on ubuntu 12.04 64-bits.
