Guest lifecycle via XenAPI

Howdy !

In order to use the Xen lifecycle for guests it appears that one has to use 'xm new <config>' followed by 'xm start <config>'. The XenAPI spec does not contain a VM method new. How does one issue the equivalent of a 'xm new <cfg>' via XenAPI ?

Thanx,
Matthias

Re: Guest lifecycle via XenAPI [In reply to]

Xe clone. Just clone the template. If you wish 'purge' VM - just clone
'Other install media' and clean fields you wish to change.

PS 2 all: How about adding vm.new operation to XenAPI to create VM
without any filled fields?
