Embed Special Page in message

Hi,

I just set up a MediaWiki 1.12 installation and changed the message MediaWiki:Noarticletext. I tried to embed the special page NewPages{{Special:NewPages/5}}. When I now look at the page MediaWiki:Noarticletext I see the latest additions but when I request a page that does not exist only a link to Special:NewPages/5 is generated but no content is included.
My question is how do I encourage the MediaWiki software to parse and execute the embedded Page?

Best,
Bernhard

Messages use a bit different parsing, so not all templating work. Take
into acocunt that you'll also likely have caching issues.
