Beware of annoying journalists at the beach party...

CCTV has given the local team unreasonable demands for thr beach party
tonight. Since they have a history of disobeying organizers' instructions
this week, please beware if they attempt to do the following at the beach
party...

1. Take pictures of people with "no photos" badges
2. Insist people follow their photo-taking instructions. They requested
that people line up in a W formation to celebrate Jimbo's birthday. Please
be alert that if this happens, it is not an instruction from the organisers
and may be ignored.

Kris, our party manager who's been pestered by CCTV for over a month,
suggested that I send you all this email. This is a reminder that the beach
party is a Wikimania party; feel free to enjoy yourselves at the expense of
annoying journalists. They are joining our party, not we joining theirs :)

Please do not confuse the CCTVfilm crew with the HongKong Tourist Board
film crew who are there and who have been very reasonable and helpful.

Yay :) Thanks for the lovely party everyone!

As it turned out, CCTV realised that we won't entertain any of their
"special requests" so they just buggered off.

For those of you who will leave Hong Kong soon, enjoy your remaining stay
in Hong Kong, and have a safe journey home!
