Trying to install EnotifWiki; which revs, what procedures?

Hello,
After a 3-minute search looking for which rev of EnotifWiki to install with
which procedure, my head is still spinning. There seem to be numerous
meta.wikimedia.org page hits for "email notification", and the sf.net page
has a lot of info in the downloads section that I still have yet to decode.

My first question:
Is EnotifWiki good/stable enough that I can use it?
(Note: my site is an internal, intranet-based site with a SSL-based
"firewall" to the public internet, and therefore I'm probably not as
concerned about security as a public site might be.)
If so, which rev would the community recommend I install with MediaWiki
1.4.7? (Note that I'm upgrading from MediaWiki 1.4.0 as per my
immediately-previous email; I'm assuming that I should first upgrade to
1.4.7 before install Enotif, but please correct my assumption if need be.)
What procedure should I use to install it (if said docs are not included in
the EnotifWiki package)?
