math and PDF

Hello,
I'm using formulas (<math> ... </math>) in my wiki like it is explained on http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Displaying_a_formula
If I export the page with pfdbook to a pdf file the formulas are missing in the pdf file.

Anybody knows how I can fix this? Is there any other extension to export wiki pages with mathematical formulas to PDF?

Also "Download as PDF" on http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Displaying_a_formula does not work.

I'm using Mediawiki 1.15.1 and pdfbook 0.0.9

Thanks!

Günter

The Collection extension [1] supports rendering math formulas.
Actually the Collection extension (with the back-end software
mwlib/mwlib.rl [2]) is what's behind the "Download as PDF" button.

I just checked that page and exporting to PDF works. The problem you
probably encountered was that rendering pages with lots of formulas
takes some time. Now the page (and the formulas) are cached and the
result should show up pretty much instantaneously (until somebody
changes the page).

Volker

Hi Volker,
I checked it again today and I could download the PDF.
Maybe last time it was the problem you described.

Thanks!

Günter

Re: math and PDF [In reply to]

I have another question about Extension:Collection. I'm gathering from
the documentation there that it isn't able to get the output of other
extensions into the pdf - if I use an extension with custom tags that adds
HTML output to the wiki page, Collection wouldn't be able to include a
version of that output in the PDF product. Is that right?
