Hi, thanks for letting us know. Is this any change with the past? (I was under the assumption that this policy was already the case actually) or is it just formalizing what we are doing already? Is it already clear what practical consequences this would have for, for example, checkuser data? (maybe this is more a question to Mike, but whoever wants to pick it up, please :) ) BR, Lodewijk 2008/5/9 Florence Devouard <anthere[at]anthere.org>: > Hello, > > At the last board meeting, the board approved the following resolution: > > the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees, consistent with its > long-standing commitment to minimizing the data retention of users and > editors, adopts the policy of retaining the least of amount personally > identifiable information consistent with maintenance of its services, > with its privacy policy, or as required by state or federal legal > provisions under United States of America law. > > ------------ > > If you have any question about this resolution, please ask ;-) > > Florence > > _______________________________________________ > foundation-l mailing list > foundation-l[at]lists.wikimedia.org > Unsubscribe: https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/foundation-l > _______________________________________________ foundation-l mailing list foundation-l[at]lists.wikimedia.org Unsubscribe: https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/foundation-l
