Wikinews enters the media echo chamber
|
|
I don't know if anyone's noticed, but Wikinews is achieving much greater prominence. Cirt's articles on Scientology are proving vastly popular across the Web (some of the best coverage of the Anonymous protests, for example). And after this appeared: http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/US_Dept_of_Justice_IP_address_blocked_after_%27vandalism%27_edits_to_Wikipedia - I got a call which led to this story: http://www.pcpro.co.uk/news/192813/department-of-justice-banned-from-wikipedia.html The key takeaway here is that Matthew Sparkes from PCPro got his tip from reading the story on Wikinews. Welcome to the worldwide media echo chamber! %-D - d. _______________________________________________ foundation-l mailing list foundation-l[at]lists.wikimedia.org Unsubscribe: https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/foundation-l
