Wikimedia Czech Republic

I am happy to announce, that the Ministry of Interior has accepted our
bylaws on 6th March 2008 and thus finished the registration of the civic
association "Wikimedia Česká republika", which is recognized as local
chapter by the Board of WMF.

The local chapter Wikimedia Czech Republic came into existence thereafter.

Congratulation but I don't understand... is it a normal procedure that
in Czech Rep. any association must be approved directly by the
Ministry of Interior?

Yes, that is normal procedure. The authority responsible for registering of
civic associations in the Czech Republic is the Ministry of Interior. As the
legal remedy there is a supreme administrative court here.
