Figuring out what I need from Cisco proprietary client

Hi folks,

I'm on Ubuntu, currently 9.10.

Back in September, when I was on Jaunty, I was able to connect using
the file pcf2vpnc yielded, but I had to add some additional params:

sudo vpnc ./myconvertedpcf.vpnc --local-port 0 --application-version
"Cisco Systems VPN Client 0.3:WinNT"

It's been a while since I've connected (since then, I upgraded from
Ubuntu 9.04 to 9.10, and who knows what happened to the version of
vnpc), but now, this doesn't work for me.

What's the best way to figure out which combination of parameters the
gateway might want? For instance, is there a way to inspect the params
that my XP vm's proprietary Cisco client (successfully) uses?

Thanks,
Jamie

Actually, I think I have what I need. For some reason, I can connect
to my corporate VPN through my neighbor's wireless access point, but
somehow, I can't get through on my own wireless AP.

I'll try to troubleshoot this on my own, but let me know if you have any ideas.

Thanks,
Jamie

It has to be a firewall issue.

Got it. On my D-Link DI-634M, under the "VPN Passthrough"
configuration, I disabled PPTP and IPSEC (L2TP), and I can now VPN
through the router.

Thanks,
Jamie
