Many trys to get a connection via UMTS and no connection via GPRS (same laptop, end-point and provider)

Hi all,

I try to use vpnc 0.5.3 to get a connection to the network of my company.

The vpnc works on my laptop (debian-etch kernel 2.6.26). I try to use a PPP connection over a UMTS (HSxPA)-pcmcia-card. Sometimes it works fine, but sometimes I get the error "vpnc: expected xauth packet; rejected: (ISAKMP_N_PAYLOAD_MALFORMED)(16)".

The 2 attachments shows the same connection. First try ends with the error. If I retry this - two, three or four times, I get the connection (att_ 2_without_error). I can't detect a system in this. The UMTS-connection works correct and I get a static private IP from the provider (T-Mobile).
The vpn endpoint on company site is a Cisco ASA5510.

If I use GPRS instead of UMTS I get all times the error " vpnc: expected xauth packet; rejected: (ISAKMP_N_PAYLOAD_MALFORMED)(16)".

To authenticate the users, my company use a RSA-server and one-time-token.

The attachments are in debug-level 99. This is no problem but this are test-user and one-time-token.

Thanks for all ideas, they help to solve this problem.

If more information needed, please let me know what I have to do to get it.

Sorry -- English is not my native language)

Regards, Stefan
