IPSec over TCP

Hi,

I was wondering what is the status of IPSec over TCP. If nobody is working on
it I would like to give it a try. Please share with me whatever
links/RFCs/hints you think will help.

Thanks,
tavi

Hi,

here is a discussion thread we started about the matter :
http://lists.unix-ag.uni-kl.de/pipermail/vpnc-devel/2006-August/000948.html
You'll find some pointers and an intersting discussion about kernel IPSec.

Unfortunately, I miss some serious background/experience to start the
project alone.

I think so too :-)

As far as I know, nobody is working on it. I tried to revrese engineer
the encapsulation format. The result can be seen in Wireshark.
There are some elements in the trailer that I have no idea what they
mean. Once we have that information or assume that the missing information
might be irrelevant some vollunteer is needed to implement the tcp
transport mechanism. I might be able to provide some hints but not much
more help due to time constraints.

Ciao

We are stuck with technology when what we really want is just stuff that
works. Some say that should read Microsoft instead of technology.
