Only the title bar displays, no video window.

From my XPpro at home, I have no problems conecting to and viewing my other XP
machines on my home lan, but, when I try to connect over the Internet to an XP
machine, I only get a small title bar displayed and no video window. When I
maximize the title bar it expands to the width of my display, but no video
window opens up below the title bar. Both the viewer and server are running
4.1.2. The remote is behind a linksys router, that for now, I have running in
DMZ mode. Intially I had port 5900 forwarded and had the same issue. The XP
firewall on the remote machine has been turned off, and I still the same
problem.
Any suggestions?
